#TeachTruth Day of Action

  • Northwest African American Museum 2300 South Massachusetts Street Seattle, WA, 98144 United States (map)

Calling all educators, guardians, and learners! Join us as we stand together with organizations across the nation who are committed to teaching the full and accurate history of the United States of America - for it's when we know our history that we are empowered with the knowledge to create a brighter, more inclusive future for all. This event is Free with the Cost of Admission.

Swing by between 10-2PM to learn strategies for teaching an accurate depiction of American history and pick up your free copies of select book titles to assist in your storytelling (available while supplies last). At 11AM, join a NAAM docent for a guided tour through our Journey Gallery and hear the stories of Black history right here in the Pacific Northwest.
