Juneteenth at NAAM is a powerful reminder of what it means to celebrate freedom while coming together in the present through joy, creativity, movement, and community. Centered around this year’s theme, The Sound of Connection, our 2026 Juneteenth Celebration brought people of all ages together for a day rooted in reflection, expression, and unity.
From vibrant programming across the Museum and Judkins Park to our 5th annual Skate to Freedom Party in partnership with Roll Around Seatown, this year’s celebration featured local artists, Living Voices performances, hands-on family activities, a FIFA World Cup Watch Party, a workshop presented by Sistah Scifi, community organizations, small businesses, food vendors, sports activations, and more.
Through art, storytelling, wellness, education, and celebration, we created space for connection, belonging, and collective joy.
Thank you to our incredible sponsors, partners, artists, vendors, volunteers, staff, and community supporters for helping bring this vision to life. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us and helped amplify The Sound of Connection.
We look forward to continuing this spirit of connection throughout the year!
