Join us Sunday, June 20 at the Carl Maxey Center in Spokane!

This very special book giveaway is sponsored by Comcast NBCUniversal employees. During Black History Month, employees donated to provide packages of Black STEM-related books to youth in Tacoma and Spokane.

Black Lives Matter. Black Books Matter. As we strive to have a more just society, books that celebrate Black children and Black lives are more important than ever. And with continued school and library closures due to COVID, literacy and educational empowerment programs are needed more than ever.

Each month, NAAM gives away brand new books to local K-12 children through family friendly and school-based youth events within the community. We've carefully curated books that teach children the rich history of Black Americans. These books center, reflect, and affirm Black children, and most are written and illustrated by Black authors and artists, with amazing learning within.

Consider making a monetary donation to NAAM’s Knowledge is Power Book Fund. Your company, civic group, or book club can support the Book Fund as a group and make an even bigger impact!
