2020 Unity Luncheon!

It will be be held on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Benaroya Hall.  If you have any questions, please contact NAAM’s Development Officer Erika Washburn at ewashburn@naamnw.org or 206-518-6000 ext 107.

The Unity Luncheon is NAAM’s premier fundraising event, hosting more than 300 of the region’s top civic, business, and cultural leaders, with every dollar raised going directly to support  NAAM’s dynamic exhibitions, public programs, and educational offerings.

The 2019 Unity Luncheon was hosted by KING 5 anchor, Angela Poe Russell, and featured a compelling keynote address by Dr. Django Paris.

A passionate advocate for educational and cultural justice, Dr. Django Paris is the inaugural James A. and Cherry A. Banks Professor of Multicultural Education and director of the Banks Center for Educational Justice in the College of Education at the University of Washington.  He arrived in Seattle in 2017 and was quickly recognized as a leading voice in the field of social change and education.

Dr. Paris is a visionary dynamic leader who believes in the importance of the Northwest African American Museum and the role that it plays in raising awareness of social justice issues, and as a place where all people feel that their voices can be heard.

Advance registration required. While there was no cost to attend, each guest was asked to give a meaningful donation at the event. At last year’s Unity Luncheon, the average gift was $198.

We are grateful for last year’s 2019 Unity Luncheon Sponsors!
