The Museum has three exhibition galleries: The Journey Gallery, the Northwest Gallery and the PACCAR Gallery
The Journey Gallery is our permanent exhibition space that shares and celebrates the many journeys people of African descent have taken to get to the Pacific Northwest. It is a hand shake into the multifaceted history of our region and how these communities have shaped it. Through high quality interactive exhibits and unique artifacts, we provide visitors with compelling stories in a lively, family-friendly space that all people can enjoy.
The Northwest Gallery
The Northwest Gallery shares the history, art, and culture of people of African descent, highlighting the intersections between these three concepts. As our largest temporary exhibition space, the Northwest Gallery explores grand narratives and new ideas using dynamic visual culture.
The PACCAR Gallery provides a temporary exhibition space to feature our region’s local visual artists as well as provide a more intimate venue for smaller exhibits of subject matter that resonates within our community.
