Black Health Matters
October 20 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
In partnership with Carolyn Downs, Swedish Hospital, State Farm, and Nourish Vegan Catering we invite you and your family to participate in our Black Health Matters Day.
As we continue to honor the legacy of the Black Panther Chapter 50 years later, one of the cornerstones that still stands is the Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center. It was founded in 1968 by community activists committed to the ideal that health care is a right for all people. Medical clinic services were originally part of a broad spectrum of community services that was overseen and developed by the Seattle Black Panther party.
We will have free screenings, health workshops, healthy snack foods, and many other fun healthy activities. This is FREE and open to the public. Invite a friend or family member to join you!
